Modi is rich men’s chowkidar, says Rahul

Patna, March 23: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he is the chowkidar of “rich-men” and he only protects and cares for the rich.

“Modi has been doing chowkidari of Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi. He is not a chowkidar for poor people”, Addressing a rally to launch the election campaign in Bihar’s Purnea district, Gandhi said.

“Modi is chowkidar for Anil Ambani and rich people only,” he added.

Interacting with the gathering, Gandhi stated: “Modi hugs only rich people, not poor. Modi used to address common people as ‘mitron‘ (friends) but he addresses Anil Ambani as brother.”

Continuing his attack, the Congress leader further stated in 2014, Modi made big promises including two crore jobs to youth every year, Rs 15 lakh in the bank accounts of all, double income for farmers etc. But he has done nothing for the youths, farmers, poor.

Gandhi claimed that the Prime Minister made promises but never fulfilled them.

“Modi has hardly done anything for farmers as promised. Farmers are unhappy and angry across the country,” he asserted.
