On 26th May 2016, the Modi-led BJP government completes its two years of ruling in power. As it is the rule of nature that where there are achievement there are challenges also. PM Modi known as one of the most prominent personality made many promises before coming in governance and raises the expectations of nation by introducing campaigns like Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission and many more.
Now just check out what Modi government has done in last two years:
Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana
The government’s pet project Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, the national campaign to take care the wealth of layman, by this Financial Inclusion scheme anyone can now open an account in a bank and ensure access to financial services. This record breaking Yojana entered in Guinness World Records just barely after week of a launch for the most accounts open in a Fortnight.
As it is well known that rural areas of India have a huge population that are still not have resorting to usage of cooking fuel that is both unclean and damaging to the environment on large scale, the governments launches an unique scheme that started as a ‘Give It Up’ campaign that barred LPG subsidy to customers who earn more than 10 lakh per annum and the amount saved was used to extent availability of cooking gas to the women who belong to households that are Below poverty Line (BPL).
Swachh Bharat Mission
A campaign with the initiative to clean India gets wide support of public and become so popular as people in a large number started sharing their experiences on Social sites, even this Clean India challenge also not leaves celebrities they also joined this campaign. A government’s Clean India drive, covering 4,041 statutory cities and towns, to clean the streets, roads, building more toilets, waste management and waste segregation.
Make In India
Another pet project of Prime Minister Modi to make India the manufacturing hub gives one more star to government because this initiative helps the youth of the nation and give India a chance to ease foreign investment norms. PM Modi gathered support from several countries for the welfare of people and gets support from many multi-national companies.
International Yoga Day
June 21, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere when turns into an International Day that becomes the success of country, Now India is going to celebrate every june 21 as International Yoga Day after United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declaration on December 11, 2014. It was suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN Address and this add one more star in the achievement of the ruling government.
Pathankot Air Base Terror Attack
Pathankot Air Base attack that again hits the hearts of Indians after 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, was BJP’s setback as it is said that the attack was not properly handled by Home Ministry and they were failed in controlling the situation, as there was confusion over the number of terrorists sneaked in to carry out the attack and even government allows the Pakistan’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) along with ISI member to come India and investigate in the matter but what a setback the government face was terrible Pakistan change his colour after investigating in India and shows back by saying that India is not allowed to come Pakistan for probe in Pathankot attack.
India wants to add the name of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Chief Massod Azhar name in the United Nation list of proscribed terrorists but fails to do so, as the China which gets market of crores from India raised an objection to it by using its VETO power. By this the Modi-led BJP government faces a huge loss as Azhar is believed to be behind the Pathankot attack.
India treat Pakistan as his younger brother but Pakistan never leaves a chance in showing his real colours, In last two years Prime Minister Narendra Modi many times cames forward to shake hands with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif but could not re-start the dialogue process nor has the firing across the Line of Control came down and this leads to make our countries saviours loose their life day by day. This is something very real that Pakistan is not going to ever change and Modi’s initiative just give India a big setback only.
Central Universities of India
When it comes to youth the students power gets an alarming tone. This year the central universities of country faces so much of uproar, From a suicide of Dalit research scholar at Hyderabad Central University to charges of sedition on students of Jawaharlal Nehru University to FTII students strike on appointment of new Director and the list goes on, the students apart from studies only fight for their rights and the Smriti Irani-led Human Resource and Development ministry fails to resolve the problems of future of the nation.
Bringing back black money was one of the promise that Modi government vows for election. The government gave a 100 days time to get the black money back and make a Special Investigation Team (SIT) just after comes in power to fulfill the promise but fails to do so. This setback of central government always gives chances to get targeted by the opponent parties.
Goods and Services (GST) Bill
One of the most important indirect tax reform, GST bill that the government is unable to pass in Rajya Sabha from the last two years. A reform that will transform India into a uniform market are still in a queue to get passed as government is fighting and seeking help from the opponent parties to decide the fate of bill.
Uttarakhand political crisis
The Uttarakhand political crisis was become the sensational news in last recent days for all news channels as Central government’s pre-mature imposition of President’s Rule in hill state and the victory of Harish Rawat in the Supreme Court-monitored Assembly floor test was just give embarrassment and a biggest setback for the ruling BJP government .
