Tandur, Dec 3: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has controlled Telangana via a remote control.
“TRS real name is T(RSS). Their main intention is to keep PM Modi as PM in 2019. We will defeat TRS, MIM and then BJP in 2019”, the Congress leader told the gathering in Tandur.
Hitting out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Gandhi asserted “Few days ago, CM KCR said he will rest after elections. In his case, he will rest in a Rs 300Cr house. But it is unfortunate that he did not fulfill his promise of 22 lakh houses for the people of Telangana”.
The CongressPresident promised to allocate 20% of his party’s budget to education and ensured children Telangana of bright future.
“We will provide MSP of ₹2,000 for paddy, ₹7000 for Cotton, ₹10,000 for chilly and ₹10,000 for turmeric. We will ensure that you get the right profit for your hard work”, he added.
Later in a day, Gandhi held a roadshow in Hyderabad while campaigning with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The Congress Chief who was in the poll-bound state also addressed a public gathering in Gadwal.
Stating that when Telangana was formed it had Rs 17,000 crore surplus budget but in five years KCR increased it to Rs 2.5 lakh crore.
“Every family has a debt burden of Rs 2.5 lakh but the income of the Chief Minister’s son has gone up by 400 percent.”
