The Delhi Police has traced the location of a United Arab Emirates based woman who went missing from her hotel room in South Delhi.
Though there is no official confirmation in this regard, according to sources 22-year-old Sara Khalfan had reportedly took a train from the New Delhi railway station on Tuesday and arrived in Mumbai the following morning.
Khalfan had reached the Hotel Justa at Greater Kailash I with her family on Monday night, but went missing the following morning. The Delhi police then informed their counterparts in other states, and formed several teams to trace her.
According to a complaint registered by the woman’s father, she had left the room around 6 am wearing a burkha. Though Khalfan reportedly had a silver-coloured bag with clothes, it contained no money. Even her passport was with her parents, police sources said.
“We found it difficult to understand what her father was saying because he couldn’t speak English. The first few hours were lost in finding translator. Later, we tasked different teams to trace the woman,” said a police officer.
