Miley Cyrus Shaded Taylor Swift With An Instagram Meme, Apparently, & Fans Can’t Deal

Pa. woman battling cancer meets Taylor Swift in Philly thanks to The View

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is no stranger to shade. Whether she’s dishing it or taking it, the pop star is pretty familiar with it at this point. It seems like it sort of comes with the price of being a successful artist, and Taylor Swift is very successful. And, while Swift has an arsenal of supporters, she also has a few enemies she’s made along the way (looking at you, Kimye), and another well-known celeb might just be added to that list. From the looks of it, Miley Cyrus shaded Taylor Swift, and Swiftie fans are *not* having it.

Look: Taylor Swift is an incredibly talented musician. She’s an award-winning singer whose performances are always epic, and her fan base is out of control in, like, the best way possible. But when a recent New York Post article claimed that “everything” Britney Spears has done, Taylor Swift does better, it struck a chord with many fans of the “Ooops!… I Did It Again” singer.

The article compares Swift and Spears in several categories — such as awards show drama, famous celebrity exes, and their slew of albums — and ultimately suggests that, although the pair have a lot in common, Swift’s career is “better” than Spears’.

But look, we’re not here to discuss who is the better artist (c’mon, you guys, let’s just be thankful that both have blessed us with music that’s catchy AF). We’re here today because of the overwhelming response from fans based on the article’s opinion, and the shade that it seems Miley Cyrus might be throwing towards Swift as a reaction to it.

An Instagram video was uploaded in response to the article, showing a compilation of celebs like Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, and Rihanna seemingly laughing at the New York Post’s headline claiming, “Everthing Britney did, Taylor does better”:

Yikes. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, obviously, but when Swift fans saw that Miley Cyrus liked the video that’s basically throwing shade at Taylor Swift, they were not happy.

Many took to Twitter to express their thoughts, and things got prettttty salty:

Personally, I can’t say that Miley liking this video is necessarily “shade.” After all, the original claim that Taylor Swift is better than an icon like pop-legend Britney Spears is pretty controversial, and I would argue they shouldn’t be compared at all. With that said, I get why Miley liking this reaction post can be seen as shade by Swifties. The two singers did have a little bit of ~drama~ before when, back in 2015, Cyrus told The New York Times that she didn’t want to be a part of Taylor Swift’s “squad.”

She told the outlet that even though Swift’s entourage consisted of “musicians, actresses, models, entrepreneurs,” she still wanted no part of that lifestyle. She told the outlet:

I’m not trying to be in the squad. None of my friends are famous and not because of any other reason than I just like real people who are living real lives, because I’m inspired by them.

So what’s the big takeaway here? Basically, if you’re wildly successful, you’re *probably* going to get called out at some point in your career. But remember, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus are pretty familiar with it at this point, and I’m sure this new revelation is barely registering on either of their radar.

All for the price of fame, I guess.

Actress Kangana Ranaut ‘will quit twitter’ if anyone can prove she starts fights

Kangana Ranaut has tweeted that contrary to what many believe from her online presence, she is not a very ‘ladaku’ person. The actor said that she is never one to start fights with others but is always the one to finish them.

Kangana Ranaut

From the Shiv Sena to Urmila Matondkar, Kangana Ranaut is engaged in multiple wars of words with multiple parties at the moment. However, she insists that she is never the one to start a fight. In a tweet shared on late Thursday night, Kangana said she would quit Twitter if proven wrong.

“I may come across as a very ladaku person but it’s not true, I have a record of never starting a fight, I will quit twitter if anyone can prove otherwise, I never start a fight but I finish every fight. Lord Krishna said when someone aks you to fight you mustn’t deny them,” she said.

After Urmila told Kangana to keep check on the drug problem in her state of Himachal Pradesh, Kangana retaliated by calling her a ‘soft porn star’ who wasn’t known for her acting skills. Kangana’s comments were met with criticism by her Bollywood colleagues.

She also got in a tussle with comedian Kunal Kamra who had joked about her tweet on spirituality. When Kangana called him a ‘fool who wanted to discredit her struggle’, Kunal questioned why she required the Y-plus security from the central government.

On Thursday evening, Anurag sarcastically told Kangana to go fight for India against China if she believes herself to be ‘the one true Manikarnika’. He was responding to a tweet by Kangana in which she had called herself ‘a warrior’. Kangana said that she meant it as a metaphor. “You’re taking metaphors literally. How have you become so stupid? You were quite clever when we used to be friends,” she wrote in a tweet.

She has also been tweeting against Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, called Karan Johar ‘movie mafia’, called Alia Bhatt a ‘mediocre’ actor and dubbed Swara Bhasker and Taapsee Pannu ‘B-grade’ actors.

RJD leader Arun Yadav: Sushant wasn’t a Rajput

However, RJD spokesman Mritunjay Tiwari said Arun Yadav has made the statement in his personal capacity and the party has nothing to do with it.

Sushant Singh Rajput No More

Patna, Sep 17 : RJD legislator Arun Yadav has stirred up a new controversy about the caste origins of Sushant Singh Rajput. Yadav says Sushant wasn’t a Rajput by caste and that any descendent of Maharana Pratap won’t die by hanging himself.

Yadav’s remark has political implications in the context of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Opposition leaders say members of the RJD are habitual offenders in making such controversial statements.

Arun Yadav, RJD MLA from Saharsa, said Rajputs are known to fight till their last breath like Maharana Pratap and do not give up on life the way Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly did.

“We are sad that he died but I am afraid that he wasn’t a Rajput,” Yadav said.

Following his statement, the BJP quickly pounced on it saying the RJD is known for doing politics of caste.

“We want Tejashwi Yadav to clarify his stand on Sushant Singh Rajput and Kangna Ranaut,” Anand said.

Neeraj Kumar, information and public relations minister of Bihar and a prominent JDU leader, also said: “Such statements display the complete bankruptcy of a party. Their education was done at Charwaha Vidyalaya (school for shepherds). You cannot expect much from them. Sushant Singh Rajput doesn’t belong to one caste or community alone. He was a son of Bihar.”

However, RJD spokesman Mritunjay Tiwari said Arun Yadav has made the statement in his personal capacity and the party has nothing to do with it.

“Our leader Tejashwi Yadav is one of those leaders who have been demanding justice for Sushant Singh and his family since day one of the tragic incident. He had demanded a CBI inquiry in the early stages of the investigation,” Tiwari said.
