Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday paid a visit to the family of a youth who was killed in the ongoing unrest in the valley in South Kashmir.
In a Facebook post, the chief minister said: “Visited the family of late Mashooq Ahmed, firing victim of Kund, Kulgam and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.”
She posted on facebook that she has visited the family of a boy named ‘Mashooq Ahmed’.

It is the first time during all this time of unrest that the CM of J&K paid a visit to a victim’s family.
In her comment on the ongoing violence in which 73 people have been killed, Mufti said: “The loss of human lives is a colossal tragedy and everyone should strive for peace in J&K.”
Earlier, she met some family members of the victims on 21st July in Anantnag but the meet took place at government accommodations.
