Chandigarh, June 23 : Navdeep Singh, from Punjab’s Muktsar town has clinched first rank in the NEET entrance examination for admission to medical colleges.
Singh wants to study MBBS course at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi. His father is the principal of a government school in a village near Muktsar.
After the result, Navdeep said “I was expecting good rank but I had not thought that I will top the entrance exam.”
On Friday morning, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared NEET examination result which is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) courses in medical and dental colleges across the country.
Five students hailing from Punjab and Haryana sealed their spot in the top 25.
Nikita Goyal and Tanisha Bansal, both from Punjab, attained the 8th and 10th rank respectively. While Kanish Tayal and Aditi Goyal belonging from Haryana secured 7th and 22nd ranks, respectively.
