New Delhi, April 21, 2017: As MCD elections 2017 campaigning is in its last phase, all political parties are not leaving any stone unturned to win the battle. On Thursday, for the BJP, Union Minister Smriti Irani came to Delhi to campaign in different areas but faced disappointment.
Smriti went to Vishwas Nagar constituency in Delhi to address the public rally where a large number of chairs were decorated in front of the stage, but the public was disheartened from there. All this happened when Bhojpuri star and BJP leader Ravi Kishan were also present.
Urging people to vote for BJP, Irani said: “From MPs, cabinet ministers, councillors to ground party workers, all of us can stand together on this stage. But this is not the same in the Congress who don’t respect their own workers. This is the reason why both Congress and AAP are almost wiped out from the city and will be totally out after this election.”
Irani was filling in for BJP chief Amit Shah who was initially supposed to address the gathering here.
