Mann ki Baat: PM Modi says Democracy is India’s strength

In the 21st edition of Prime Minister’s radio interaction programme ‘Mann ki Baat’, PM Modi said democracy is our nation’s strength and night of 25-26th June 1975 wasthe darkest night in our democracy .
Modi said,”Night of 25-26th June 1975 was the darkest night for democracy”.

PM Modi urged countrymen to give correct information on income and praised Chandrakant Kulkarni who has pledged to donate Rs 5,000 every month to Modi’s Swachh Bharat fund from his monthly pension of Rs 16,000
 Modi said,”None of you will believe if I say that out of 125 crore people, there are only 1.5 lakh, with a taxable income of above 50 lakh rupees”.
Further added “Declare your undisclosed income within September 30. We will not initiate any inquiry.
‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign has touched many lives and the results of various examinations show how women are excelling.
 Modi also congratulated the country for having the first batch of women fighter pilots inducted into the Air Force. “On 18th June, first batch of women fighter pilots inducted in Air Force, we feel very proud, I congratulate them and their families,” he said.
“This satellite signifies the skills and aspirations of the youth of India: PM Modi said.
Modi said,”The two satellites built by students and launched by ISRO are very important and special for me. This is a classic example of high ambitions of Indian youth.”
PM Modi said that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had made the country proud.
“The matter of pride in the recent launch of the satellites was that 17 out of the 20 were the satellites of the foreign countries. Isn’t this great. Our scientists are working hard to take our country to new heights.”
