Manmohan slams Modi, says “worst is yet to come”

New Delhi, Jan 11: Former Prime Minister and Senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh on Wednesday asserted that Modi’s claim of increase in the national income is hollow.

“Modi Ji’s propaganda of national income going up in last two years has been proven to be hollow,” said Manmohan Singh.

While speaking at the Jan Vedna Sammelan by CWC at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, Manmohan Singh hit out on Modi and said that “Modi ji keeps on saying he will transform India’s economy, we know now that the beginning of the end has come.”

Manmohan Singh also spoke about the ill effects of Demonetization saying that it has hurt the nation “very badly”, asserting that things have gone from bad to worse in past few months.

“Some say GDP can be as low as 6.3%. We can imagine that what kind of a disaster demonetization is,” said Manmohan while labeling demonetization as a major catastrophe.
