Man jumps to death from Delhi building

New Delhi, Aug 2: A 23-year-old man jumped to death under mysterious circumstances from a five-storeyed building in Delhi, the police informed on Tuesday.

The incident held on Sunday evening about 6 p.m. when the man identified as Pankaj Kumar was seen noticed locals about the way to railway tracks in Laxmi Nagar of east Delhi.

“Pankaj was living with his parents in School Block of Laxmi Nagar area. He was not keeping well since 2013 after he appeared at Class XII examination,” a senior police officer said.

His family expressed that he was in depression since last month. This was apparently the cause of the extreme step, the officer said.

“Pankaj was taken to nearby Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where he succumbed during treatment,” the officer added.
