Main accused arrested in Ballabhgarh mob lynching case


Railway Police Haryana has arrested the main accused in Ballabhgarh train lynching case from Maharastra’s Dhule. However almost 5 people are already in police remand.

 With this, the total arrests in the case has gone up to six, including a 50-year-old man.  Haryana police  announced a reward of Rs two lakh on 3rd July for information on the identity of those involved in the killing of a Muslim youth inside a train near Ballabgarh in Haryana.

On 22nd june, Junaid and his brothers were travelling from Sadar bazar to Mathura bound train when they were attacked by a group of a mob.

Junaid was stabbed to death while his brothers were left injured. The incident had triggered a nation-wide outrage.

Junaid was remembered in Not In My Name protest held through out the country.  A bill (MASUKA)  is also being planned by the social workers and people against the mob lynching.
