Mumbai: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has stepped down as the captain of the captain of India’s limited over’s side, on Wednesday.
However, the 35-year-old will be available for selection for the ODIs and T20s against England.
India are currently enjoying a 25-day break after their 4-0 rout of the Three Lions in the five-match Test series.
The limited overs matches against England are set to get underway on Sunday, January 15, when the first of the three ODIs is set to be held in Pune.
Virat Kohli, who is currently the skipper of the Test side, has been tipped to take over as the India captain across all three formats of the game.
