Maharastra Cong leader Mahadev Shelar commits suicide

New Delhi, Oct 14: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee’s (MPCC) general secretary and spokesperson Mahadev Shelar on Saturday committed suicide at his Vilva Kunj Society residence in Mulund West area, Mumbai. 

The 64-year-old leader, left behind a suicide note citing that he was suffering from diabetes and other health related ailments due to which he took the extreme step.

Shealar’s body has been sent  for postmortem to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. According to an ANI report, the police has registered a case of accidental death report on the matter.
