Maharasthra: Kapil Sibal questions the role of Governor

Delhi: Commenting on the stalemate in the formation of government in Maharasthra and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiari recommendation of President’s rule in the state, senior congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal said that the role of Governors since 2014 appears to have been dubious.

He said that Governors these days appear to be working on the diktat of the Centre. He said that when it comes to BJP governemnt formation as has been evident recently from Karnataka, the Governor is ready to give time, but when it is about Opposition the Governors are not prepapred to give even twenty four hours, pointing about the situation in Maharasthra. He added that impostiion of President’s rule in the state will provide ample time for BJP to indulge in horse-trading.
