Bhopal, June 16: Violence broke out in Madhya Pradesh’s Shajapur on Saturday after stone pelting during an event to mark Maharana Pratap Jayanti in Nayi Sadak area.
The angry mob set vehicles on fire and vandalised shops. Police forces have been deployed to the incident spot.

“Police resorted to lathi-charge and lobbed tear gas shells to control the situation,” the Sub Divisional Officer of Police, Kotwali, Padam Singh Baghel, told PTI.
After the clashes, prohibitory orders were clamped in the town, he said.
The police officer further added that a strict vigil was being maintained in the area.
