Lucknow, Oct 1: The death toll of vector-borne disease dengue has reached to 148 in Uttar Pradesh’s state capital after seven more deaths reported in the state, an official said.
On Friday, around 54 new patients tested Dengue positive in various hospitals of the city, taking the number of patients to 1,800.
However, the officials stated that, fogging and spraying of anti-larva medicines is continued in many localities.
“We hope that the weather turns quickly reducing the temperatures and putting an end to dengue and other vector-borne diseases,” said a health department official, hinting that the mosquitoes would not survive in cold weather.
The Chief Minister’s office along with the Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar are purportedly personally monitoring the situation.
