New Delhi, March 21: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said Lt Governor Anil Baijal has “rejected” the AAP government’s proposal of delivering ration in packets at the houses of beneficiaries.

Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister stated “Very sad that Hon’ble LG has rejected doorstep delivery of ration scheme. I had repeatedly requested him to give me an audience before taking a decision but he did not. Feeling really really sad that such important proposals are becoming victims of petty politics”.

The Lt Governor’s office hasn’t responded to Kejriwal’s statement yet.

On March 6, the Delhi government gave a nod to a proposal of delivering ration doorstep by a private company.

Earlier in February, the Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had alleged that Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash and other officers were working under the influence of the ration mafia.

He had also stated that some of the senior officers were trying to block doorstep-delivery of ration, as it would put an end to the ration mafia.
