Lover kills girlfriend over suspicion of having an affair

Visakhapatnam, July 8: A lover brutally hacked his girlfriend to death after slashing her throat and smashing her head with dumbbells on Saturday, police said.

The horrifying crime took place in Panda Veedhi area in this coastal city.

The duo was in love for last four years. In spite of hailing from different castes, both families had agreed to their marriage but their fate wanted something cruel.

The youth B. Satish Kumar killed B. Bhavani aged 19 years over suspicion of she was having an affair with some other guy.

Thus to give her a lesson he called the girl at his house. When she reached his house unaware of her life taking moment, both had a heated argument. He then broke a mirror and slashed her throat with a piece of glass. After hearing her cries, neighbours rushed to the scene but Satish threatened to attack them.

The ordeal did not end here, he then hit the girl on her head with dumbbells and dragged her down the stairs.

After all this, Satish also tried to end his life, but some people caught hold of him and handed him over to police. A profusely bleeding Bhavani was taken to government-run King George Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Deceased family members informed that Satish had met with a road accident and sustained head injury. Since then there was a change in his behaviour and he started suspecting Bhavani.
