Lok Sabha adjourned for the day after condoling death of BJD member


New Delhi, Feb 6: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Wednesday without transacting any business as a mark of respect for Biju Janata Dal member Ladu Kishore Swain, who passed away on Tuesday.

Soon after the House resumed for the day, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan made the anouncement about the demise of Odisha MP.

The House paid tribute to the leader and after that adjourned for the day.

Swain died at age 71 last night. He was admitted to Apollo hospital in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday following kidney-related ailments.

He was elected to the lower house of Parliament from Aska constituency in 2014.
