New Delhi, Aug 2: BJP has issued three-line whip to Lok Sabha MPs for Thursday and Friday, asking them to be present in the House for the passage of an “important bills”.Different bills will be moved in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha today.

Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot will take up the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-third Amendment) Bill, 2017 in Lok Sabha for further amendments as it was returned by Rajya Sabha.


Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda will move the National Medical Commission Bill, 2017, to be taken into consideration.

The NRC issue continued to disrupt Parliament proceedings .Lok Sabha on August 1 passed the Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2018. The bill, which was passed by a voice vote in the Lok Sabha, allows state governments to establish commercial courts at the district level, even in territories where high courts have ordinary original civil jurisdiction.

 

In Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Rajnath Singh will take up the Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2018, to amend the Indian Penal Code, Indian Evidence Act, 1872, the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, as it was passed by the Lok Sabha.
