Kochi, Oct 15: The Kerala High Court on Monday granted a conditional bail to former Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who was arrested on charges of repeatedly raping a nun between 2014 and 2016.
Mulakkal has been asked to not enter the South Indian state and told to surrender his passport.

On September 21, the police nabbed Mulakkal after three days of interrogation.
After that on September 24, he was sent to two weeks judicial custody.
Mulakkal has been languishing in a sub-jail in Pala municipality since.
Prior to this October 3, the high court had rejected the bishop bail as Justice V. Raja Vijayaraghavan observed that there was evidence against him.
