Kashmir terror attack: US stands alongside India in confronting terror, says Envoy

New Delhi, Feb 14: World leaders have condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district in which 43 CRPF troopers were killed when a suicide bomber on Thursday rammed his SUV packed with explosives into a CRPF bus on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.

The US has condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district and said it stands alongside India in defeating terrorism.

In one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s three decades of militancy, a Jaish suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district, killing at least 43 personnel and leaving many critically wounded.

Embassy of Russian Federation has issued a statement, “We denounce terrorism in all its forms and reiterate the need to combat these inhuman acts with decisive and collective response without any double standards.We express condolences to families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to injured.

Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid said, “Strongly condemn the suicide terrorist attack on the convoy carrying Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir today.”

Bhutan Foreign Minister Tandi Dorji said, “Shocked & saddened to hear of the terror attack in Kashmir. We strongly condemn this heinous attack and express our solidarity with families of victims,people and government of India. Hope perpetrators will be brought to justice.”

Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said, “I strongly condemn the brutal terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama district — the worst ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since 1989. I express my condolences to Narendra Modi and the families of police officers who lost their lives.”
