Bengaluru, Aug 2: Karnataka Minister and senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar and four others were granted conditional interim bail by economic offence court on Thursday in connection with cases filed by Income tax department following a series of IT raids against them.
The Court also directed them to deposits a bond of Rs 50,000 each.
The four others accused are Sachin Narayan, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Anjaneya Hanumanthaiah and N Rajendra.
Last year, the Income Tax department had conducted searches at over 39 places related to Shivakumar and his brother in Delhi and Bengaluru.
During the raids, the officials reportedly seized around Rs 10 crores from different places.The bail comes after the Karnataka High Court stayed the proceedings against the minister after hearing a petition filed by one of the accused Sachin Narayan.
