Bengaluru, July22 : Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar has said that the trust vote will take place before 6 pm on Monday while JDS said it was “ready to sacrifice” for the coalition and they wanted either Siddaramaiah, G Parameshwara or DK Shivakumar to be the chief minister.
Congress asserted that it will expose BJP’s conspiracy in the Assembly as Saffron party offered Rs 1000 crore to the ruling government’s MLAs by carrying out Operation Kamala to topple JDS-Congress coalition government.
“Rebels will be marked absent if they don’t show up,” Speaker Kumar said.
The Congress-JD(S) coalition government in Karnataka floor test in the assembly. Karnataka’s beleaguered coalition government has already missed two previous deadlines set by governor Vajubhai Vala.
A day before the vote, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy appealed to rebel MLAs to return and “expose” the BJP during the debate in the House, but they ruled out attending the session. Karnataka BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa exuded confidence that “tomorrow will be the last day of the Kumaraswamy government” and said the chief minister was just trying to buy time.

Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar, confirming that the floor test on the coalition government will be concluded by 6 pm on Monday, said that he was in “no hurry” to accept the resignations of the rebel MLAs.
He was also quoted by English channel as saying that if MLAs fail to show up for the Assembly session on Monday, they will be “marked as absent”.
Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar summons rebel MLAs to meet him at his office at 11 am on July 23. The notice has been issued over disqualification (of rebel MLAs) petition by coalition leaders.
“This operation Kamala, where did the Rs 1000 crore come from? We have heard tapes of Muralidhar Rao and BS Yeddyurappa speaking to MLAs, offering Rs 20-30 crore. Is this democracy? All this will be questioned tomorrow on the floor of the House,”Dinesh Gundu Rao said.
After Congress Legislature Party meeting in Bengaluru, Gundu Rao said, “MLAs are very enthusiastic, we are going with lot of confidence. We will emerge as winners. Tomorrow on the floor of the House we will expose BJP.”
On being asked ‘there is a rumour that Janata Dal (Secular) party has approached Siddaramaiah for Chief Minister’s postm Rao said, ” These are all false rumors, there is no such proposal.”
lnsisting that that the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition in Karnataka will survive the ongoing political crisis in the state, Water Resources Minister DK Shivakumar said HD Kumaraswamy will vacate the chief minister’s position to save the combine.
