Karnataka Elections: Rahul Gandhi launches Congress manifesto, calls it ‘Mann ki Baat’ of people

Mangalore, April 27: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday launched party’s manifesto for upcoming crucial Karnataka Elections.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress State President  Dr. G Parameshwara  and other leaders participated the launch event

Addressing the event Gandhi said, ” Like we delivered almost 95% of the promises we made in our previous manifesto, even these promises will be delivered”.

Calling it the ‘Mann ki Baat’ of the people of Karnataka, Congress Chief stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP do not stand up to what they say.

Hitting out at the BJP, he said manifesto of the saffron party is decided by 3-4 leaders. It will be the manifesto of the RSS.

The Congress Chief further said that he is not here to tell the people of Karnataka what is good for them but to listen to what they think is good for them. He added, “This manifesto is made by going to every single district and every single community”.

“We are very proud of Karnataka. The state is home to India’s Silicon Valley. I would like to thank Karnataka because its confidence has shown this country a path forward”.

“During the preparation of every budget, I would check our party’s 2013 Manifesto, and fulfill the promises we had made. As we have Delivered as Promised, there is no anti-incumbency against our Government”, Siddaramaiah stated.

Voting for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly will take place on May 12. The southern state is scheduled to witness a three-corner contest involving the ruling Congress, the BJP and the H D Deve Gowda-led JD(S). The result of the polls will be declared on May 15.
