Karnataka Elections: Congress Vs BJP is a “no contest”, says Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, May 9: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that there is “no contest” between his party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Karnataka Elections and referred to a graphic which shows the work done by both the parties during their tenures.

Gandhi tweeted ” In Karnataka, Congress Vs BJP is a “no contest” as this graphic shows “.

The infographic showed the comparison between data obtained from 2013 and 2013-18 on various aspects such as job creation, loan to farmers, completion of Namma metro and road construction, among others.

As per the graphic, Karnataka ranked 11th in investment attraction in 2013 while it tops the list in 2018. It further showed that the energy production capacity has increased from 5,361 MW in 2013 to 9,349 MW this year.

The Southern state has done better on all fronts including tackling infant malnutrition, budget outlay, the creation of MBBS seats, building of houses and drinking water.

Gandhi is in Karnataka for election campaigning before the state polls slated to be held on May 12. Counting of votes will take place on May 15.
