Karnataka, April 21, 2017: A passenger train from Aurangabad to Hyderabad derailed between Khalgapur and Bhalki stations in Karnataka on Friday morning.
As per initial reports, no injuries or casualties were reported in the derailment so far.
The train’s engine and two bogies moved away from the tracks and into the nearby field by about 10 metres at around 4:10 am.
Railway department officials have been rushed to the spot as the rescue operation is underway. Meanwhile, locals are helping in evacuating the passengers from the train.
Several media reports also suggested that all the passengers are safe and have reached Hyderabad safely
The cause of the train derailment is not known yet but the concerned departments have been alerted to take the stock of the situation.
