Bengaluru, May 13: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said he will step aside and make a way for a Dalit Chief Minister if the Congress leadership wishes.

“It is fine if the party decides to have a Dalit Chief Minister,” he said, according to News18.

Earlier, he told the media: “This will be my last election.”

“I will remain in politics but will not take part in elections,’’ the Congress leader said, adding we will get a clear majority and form the government.

The Karnataka election results will be declared on May 15.
