New Delhi, June 15 : Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Friday condemned the killing of Rising Kashmir editor Shujaat Bukhari in Srinagar and termed it an “insanity of violence”.
The Congress leader tweeted, “Shujaat Bukhari yet another victim of the insanity of violence. When will sanity return to our Kashmir. Let a dialogue at least start before there is no space left for it. Meanwhile, we condemn this unforgivable act of violence .”

The Congress leader also urged the Central government to start a dialogue process soon to end the unprecedented’ spate of violence in Kashmir.
The veteran journalist and his PSO were shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside the newspaper’s office in Press Enclave near Lal Chowk in Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has released a CCTV footage of suspected killers of Senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief of English daily “Rising Kashmir” Shujat Bhukhari.
State police chief S.P.Vaid said that it was around 7.15 p.m., the Iftar time, that Bukhari came out of his office in Press Enclave and was boarding his car when he was attacked by militants.
“Three motorcycle-borne militants came and fired at Bukhari and his guards. Bukhari and one guard were killed and another security guard critically injured,” he stated. The murder drew wide condemnation from politicians across India and media organisations.
