Kapil Sibal criticizes Modi government for EU MPs restricted visit to Kashmir; questions BJP pressure tactics on Shiv Sena

Kapil Sibal Press Conference

New Delhi, Oct 30: Senior Congress Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal targeted Modi government on EU lawmakers Kashmir visit in bullet proof vehicles and that too on deserted roads when the government claims that everything is back to normal after abrogation of Article 370. He also questioned the logic of arranging such visit when no trade body member, mainstream politician or prominent civil society member met the EU MPs.

Asking Modi government that if Kashmir is normal then what is the need of security for European Union guests, Kapil Sibal said, “ If all is normal : Why ? 1) Security convoy 2) Bullet proof vehicles 3) Deserted roads 4) Detention facilities No trade body member ; mainstream politician ; prominent member of civil society, met our EU guests Just a lonely Shikara ride !”

Sibal also tweeted a poem on the ongoing tussle in Mahrasthra between BJP and Shiv Sena with Fadnavis refusing to agree to a rotational Chief Minister and how BJP is employing pressure tactics on Shiv Sena to fall in line by threatening with action by investigative agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax department and the Central Bureau of Investigation.

“Fadnavis to Sena their ain’t no 50-50 In the long term you will slump I am the rising NIFTY Come to terms for otherwise you know our Income Tax The ED and the CBI will start sniffing on your tracks,” Sibal tweeted.
