Justice Dipak Misra appointed as next Chief Justice of India

New Delhi, Aug 8: The government on Tuesday appointed Justice Dipak Misra as the next Chief Justice of India.

Present Chief Justice of India (CJI) J.S. Khehar will demit office on August 27.

Mishra enrolled as an Advocate on 14th February in 1977 and have an extensive knowledge as he practiced in Constitutional, Civil, Criminal, Revenue, Service and Sales Tax matters in the Orissa High Court and the Service Tribunal.
