Srinagar, March 5: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party, over Air India’s advisory which has directed its crew to say Jai Hind after every flight announcement.
“Little surprise that with General Elections around the corner, the josh of patriotism hasn’t even spared the skies”, she tweeted without mentioning the BJP.
The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister has been at loggerheads with the Narendra Modi led central government in recent months.
The national carrier on Monday issued an order asking its crew to say “Jai Hind”.
“With immediate effect, all (crew) are required to announce ‘Jai Hind’ at the end of every announcement after a slight pause and much fervour,” the notification issued by Amitabh Singh, Director Operations, Air India, stated.
