J&K: Terrorists attack BSF vehicle at Pantha Chowk, Five Jawans injured


Srinagar, Oct 29: At least five Border Security Force soldiers were injured on Monday after their vehicle was targetted and fired upon by terrorists at Pantha Chowk on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

According to the reports, a BSF patrol vehicle was attacked around about 6.15 pm.

Injured have been admitted to the nearby medical centre.

Earlier in a day, three militants were arrested after a brief shootout with the security forces in Narbal area.

A Jammu and Kashmir Police spokesman said the militants, who were in a car, were signalled to stop at a check post in Narbal area.

“But the militants opened fire at the police. The fire was retaliated. After a brief shootout, three of them were arrested,” the spokesman said. One of the terrorists was injured.
