Srinagar, Jan 6: Four policemen have been killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast by terrorists in Baramulla District’s Sopore on Saturday.
Deceased cops have been identified as ASI Irshad Ahmad of Doda, M Amin of Kupwara and Gh Nabi of Sopore, according to Kashmir observer report.
Expressing grief over the killing of policemen, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed condolence, saying “pained to hear that four policemen have been killed in an IED explosion in Sopore. My deepest condolences to their families”.

This comes a day after, Indian Army defused the live bombs and IEDs along the LoC in Rajouri’s Nowshera sector.
The troop launched a massive search operation to locate live bombs and IEDs on Thursday.
