Srinagar, July 16: The security forces today busted a Hizbul Mujahideen recruitment module in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The recruitment module was headed by Hizbul commander Parvez Wani, a resident of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Three persons have been arrested by the state police in connection with this.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ansarullah Tantaray, Abdul Rashid Bhat and Mehrajuddin Kak, all of them belongs to Baramulla district.
Baramulla SSP Imtiyaz Mir told news agency ANI, that security forces rescued around 10 boys from the recruitment module.
According to IANS, among one of those arrested, Abdul Rashid Bhat, went to Pakistan in May and obtained training in the Khalid Bin Waleed camp run by the Hizb in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
The Pakistan High Commission in Delhi granted visa to Bhat on the recommendation of a separatist organisation
The security forces recovered arms, ammunition and Rs 1 lakh from the arrested persons.
