J&K: Grenade thrown at police checkpost in Baramulla’s Juhama, two injured

Srinagar, Oct 2: Two security forces were injured on Monday as a grenade lobbed by two terrorists  in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said.

A  joint checkpost (naka) was set up police and the army at Juhama in Baramulla for routine area domination, a police officer said here.

Shortly after 6 p.m., a motorcycle which was coming from the opposite side made an about turn on seeing the checkpost and as they were asked to stop, “one of the two militants riding the motorcycle lobbed a grenade” towards the deployed security personnel.

Two policemen received minor injuries in the incident, However, the area has been cordoned off for searches and case has been registered against the assailants.
