Amsterdam. April 10 : Jet Airways aircraft has been seized in Amsterdam by an European cargo company due to non-payment of dues.
The pilots of the airline sent a notice to the airways threatening legal action over unpaid salaries.
Flight has been delayed by more than six hours.The plane, a Boeing 777-300 ER (VT-JEW), was meant to be used for the Jet Airways’ flight 9W 321 from Amsterdam to Mumbai.
“Jet Airways’ flight 9W 231 AMS BOM of 10th April 2019, has been delayed due to operational reasons. Guests have been informed of same and have been taken care of and served with refreshments during their wait. The airline will further update guests with revised timings,” The statement issued by the jet Airways said.
The cash-strapped Jet Airways has massively reduced its operations from its main hub Mumbai to just about 32 flights
This is the first time an aircraft has been seized from the airline for non-payment of dues.
