Jayalalithaa, in a grave situation; Security beefed up in TN

Tamil Nadu, 5 Dec: After the Apollo Hospital issued multiple statements on grave and serious condition of Amma, the entire Chennai stands mobilised.

All officers at all levels will be on duty until further orders said the Police Commissioner of the state.

Despite the best efforts the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa is in a grave condition reported Executive Director of Appolo Group to media.

Just a few hours ago, the hospital has said that the Jayalalithaa’s condition is “very critical.”

A brief statement on Monday said the AIADMK leader, who suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening, “continues to be very critical and is on ECMO and other life support systems”.

As much as 5000 policemen have been deployed in the state. Security is hiked in the entire Tamil Nadu as well as on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu bordering areas as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa continued to be critical on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday.

Security at various places in Kerala including at the famed Sabarimala temple was hiked. Kerala Police sent forces in the bordering districts like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Idukki and Palakkad.

The popular tourist destination of Thekkady in Idukki district that borders Kambam of Theni district in Tamil Nadu — the route most take from Tamil Nadu was also under close vigil.

Likewise at Munnar – another popular tourist and work destination of the Tamil people, was given extra security by the Kerala police.

Meanwhile, the union Health minister JP Nadda said that Jayalalithaa is out of danger, they are in regular touch with Apollo hospital & Tamil Nadu Government.

“She is out of danger but she needs ICU care,” Nadda said.

A special team from AIIMS have been sent to Chennai.

 


In the view of large crowd outside Apollo Hospital praying for the speedy recovery of state Chief Heavy police officials have been pressed at the Hospital to monitor the crowd.

 

At Dharavi’s Shakthi Vinayakam temple in Mumbai, supporters of Jayalalithaa offered special prayers for her speedy recovery.
