Punjab and Haryana high court today sought progress report from district and session judges of Haryana regarding the 2100 FIRs lodged during the Jat quota protests in February 2016.
HC also sought a status report on the progress into the alleged Murthal gangrapes and directed Haryana to produce the volume 2 of Prakash Singh committee’s report pertaining to the role of intelligence in the context of riots that has not been made public so far. The report is to be produced in a sealed cover.
The hearing was adjourned till July 4.
The Haryana government had on Monday submitted the first volume of Prakash Singh committee report on the role of the state top machinery and the status report on the alleged Murthal gangrapes during the violence, to the High Court.
