Janardhan Reddy sent to judicial custody till November 24

Bengaluru , Nov 11 : Former Karnataka minister and Ballari mining baron G  Janardhan Reddy who was arrested by Bengaluru Central Crime Branch, in connection with Ambident Group alleged bribery case has been sent to judicial custody till November 24.

Reddy was  arrested by the Crime Branch officials in connection with an alleged bribery case. He has been sent to judicial custody until November 24.Reddy was taken for medical examination.

Reddy was arrested in Bengaluru, according to ANI.

Alok Kumar, Additional CP Crime,said, ” Questioning of Janardhan Reddy is on. At appropriate time, appropriate decision will be taken as per provisions of law.”

Janardhan Reddy is wanted in connection with money transaction amounting to crores of rupees allegedly linked to a ponzi scheme..
Before turning up at the central crime branch office, Reddy, who is under its probe for possible links to a man accused of running a ponzi scheme, released a video, saying he had “not committed any wrong”.

“I have not committed anything wrong. The police do not have a single document to prove that I am wrong. They are misleading the media,” he claimed in his video message telecast by TV channels.y is on. At appropriate time, appropriate decision will be taken as per provisions of law.”

“I decided to make this video to let people know the truth. I have faith in the police and believe that they would not succumb to any political pressure,” he added.

The central crime branch is also hunting for Janardhan Reddy’s close aide Ali Khan, who allegedly struck a Rs. 20-crore deal with Syed Ahmed Fareed of Ambidant Marketing Pvt Ltd, a firm accused of involvement in the ponzi scheme, to bail him out of an Enforcement Directorate investigation.
