Jammu & Kashmir: Two security personnel injured, police vehicle torched in Anantnag by protesters

Srinagar, Sep 8: Two policemen were wounded on Friday as security forces tried to control a group of people pelting stones in south Kashmir’s Anantnag town.

Police vehicle also set on blaze by protesters.

“A police vehicle was torched by miscreants. Two policemen were injured while controlling the mob. The situation is under control now,” police official said.

The protest triggered after the Friday prayers on the issue of alleged persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

When security forces halt the protest, angry youths clashed with them.
