Srinagar, April 11: An Indian soldier and three civilians were killed on Wednesday in an encounter between militants and security forces in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Doctors said a civilian, Faisal Elahi, 15, was brought to a hospital in Qaimoh town in Kulgam district and he succumbed to critical bullet injuries, news agency IANS reported.
Prior to this, two other civilians, Bilal Ahmad Dar, 17, and Sharjeel Sheikh 28, wounded during clashes between protesters and security forces at Wani Mohalla in Khudwani area of Kulgam had died.

Police said a soldier was killed and two other security personnel were injured on Wednesday when militants holed up inside a house started firing at security personnel closing in on them.
As per the reports, two to three terrorists are holed up in the area.
The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly conducting the operation.
Six additional coys of CRPF have been also moved to the spot.
Meanwhile, mobile internet services have been suspended in Kulgam and Anantnag districts of South Kashmir following the gunfight.
Train services on Srinagar-Banihal route halted as a precautionary measure. However, trains to ply normally on Srinagar-Baramulla route.
