Jagga Jasoos new song: Ranbir goes wild with his crazy antics

NewDelhi, June 9 : Ranbir kapoor and katrina kaif starring movie Jagga Jassos is finally going to release. The makers are promoting the film on a high note so that the film doesn’t affected by the bad publicity.

It has believed that music compose Pritam has given 15 songs in the film and it is going to be record for any Bollywood movie in the current scenario. After its first song ‘Ullu Ka Pattha’ which gone viral on the Internet, the makers has released its secong song ‘Galti se aMistake’ .

As the eccentric beat takes off, Ranbir enthrals with his crazy antics and zany dance moves. That’s, exactly what we see Ranbir doing in the new song from his upcoming film ‘Jagga Jasoos’, which also stars Katrina Kaif.

In ‘Galti Se Mistake’ song, we see Ranbir jamming it out with his boys inside the hostel. Needless to say, Pritam has done a fabulous job on music, while Arijit Singh and Amit Mishra sound absolutely funky as per the song’s requirement.

Vijay Ganguly’s to the point choreography matches up to Amitabh Bhattacharya’s lyrics. The song is also special for one more reason as it features film’s director, Anurag Basu, in a cameo. With a red beanie covering his head, big old glasses and long white beard, Anurag almost looks unrecognisable as he pops up on the screen and gets his shirt ripped off by Ranbir.
All in all, ‘Galti Se Mistake’ song seems to be heading towards the right spot to become yet another chartbuster featuring Ranbir.

The film’s first song, ‘Ullu ka Pattha’, was released recently and has been receiving tremendous response from the audience due to its refreshing music and outstanding visuals that exhibit the chemistry between the lead pair.

The movie, also starring Katrina Kaif in a titular role, is set to hit the theaters on July 14.

While Ranbir Kapoor is shooting for the Sanjay Dutt biopic, Katrina Kaif is working with Salman Khan for the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger titled Tiger Zinda Hai.

No doubt with each movie he comes up with hit and romantic songs. He started his acting career with 2003 film Footpath but rose to fame with Murder. He has done a different kind of roles. From playing a playboy in Murder to portraying an ardent lover in Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Emraan never shied away from experimenting.

As the Versatile actor has turned 39 today, here’s his 5 best roles which proved the actor was a performer and not just a kisser!

1. Gangster

The under-cover policeman: Hashmi first played this role in ‘Gangster’, but goes on to play this type of character in ‘Jannat 2’ as well. Both roles are vastly different from each other.

From a lounge singer to an undercover cop, Hashmi makes a sly switch from smitten to self-seeking in the deftly executed Gangster. And his performance was worthy of an applause.

2. Awarapan

This one remains as one of the most favorite movies of Hashmi ‘the performer’. Directed by Mohit Suri, Awarapan in 2007 broke the kissing jinx for Hashmi and put him in the business as one angry young fella willing to take a chance with life.

If you really haven’t watched this comforting piece of cinema, go watch it for its amazing music, dialogues and the beautiful background score.

3. Jannat

In the classic tale of greed and destruction, Hashmi plays a match fixer engaging in all kinds of frauds to make fast cash. How it eventually ruins his personal life is what the drama with a breezy soundtrack is all about.

Despite the predictability of it all, Hashmi’s roguish grin and flaky manners make it work.

4. Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai

Making a mark in front of an actor like Ajay Devgn is not an easy task, but Emraan played the role of Shoeb brilliantly. The actor was amazing in this film, but as it was a massy film, his acting talent was ignored.

5. Hamari Adhuri Kahani

This is the best of Emraan Hashmi till date. A matured role performed wonderfully by the actor. Believe us, if not awards, the actor at least deserved Best Actor awards nomination.

The way he had handled his character, we are sure every woman would have fallen for him. But, ‘HAK’ was a flop at the box office, and once again Emraan didn’t get his due appreciation as an actor.

Here’s wishing the loverboy Emraan Hashmi a very Happy Birthday!!

Important for celebrities to speak up, bring change: Deepika Padukone

New Delhi, March 24: As multiple Bollywood films are celebrating how weaknesses can be turned into strengths, leading actress Deepika Padukone says it is important for celebrities to use their place of influence and power to bring about change in society.

“I think it is extremely important for those who are in positions of influence or power to bring about social change. It is extremely important for them to speak up about whatever issue it might be,” Deepika told news agency IANS in interview.

Of late, film actors and filmmakers are attempting storylines which have a strong underlying message that can bring change in society. The latest example is Rani Mukerji’s “Hichki”, which talks about how a woman with Tourette Syndrome, a neuropsychiatric disorder, makes it her strength and becomes a teacher.

Deepika, one of Bollywood’s top-earning actresses, believes people can see if you do not have genuine connect or if it is not authentic.

“For many years, people always said, ‘You know you are successful, you should do work in social sectors as well or associate with an NGO’. There were so many options (for me), but I didn’t feel like I was being honest to them.

“It didn’t come naturally to me until I came across mental health, also because of my personal experience,” said the actress, who had earlier opened up about her battle with depression.

She feels speaking up for a cause has to be an “organic” process.

“I don’t think there is any fixed time as to when one should do it. I think you should do it when you feel it is right.”

Deepika was here along with her mother and younger sister to launch a report on Public Perception Towards Mental Health in India by her foundation The Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLLF), which aims to reduce the stigma around mental health.

The report’s findings indicate that a majority of people feel that mental illness is still considered a severe disorder like schizophrenia and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

But are celebrities not more prone to depression and stress, especially when they are constantly under the scanner, more so with the emergence of social media?

“No. I think I have understood the correlation between consumption of social media and when it helps. I always believed that whatever you consume, you consume in moderation.

“If you consume too much, it could have various sorts of impact, not just on your mental health but physical health too. I know people who are up at social media in the wee hours and probably letting it eat up their sleep time.

“As long as anything that you consume, whether it is social media or otherwise, is done in moderation, and you are aware about your social health, I think you are on the right path,” said the 32-year-old.

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to her is “peace of mind”.

Deepika said she wants to see India as the happiest nation in the world.

“My vision for the Foundation is that we become the happiest country in the world. I see Bhutan having their happiness minister, and even some of the Scandinavian countries have the highest rate of mental happiness and I want India to be there, sooner or later,” she signed off.
