Bihar, Sep 13, 2017: After the Election Commission of India rejected the plea of senior JD-U leader Sharad Yadav claiming party symbol, the rebel leader said it is a struggle and fight which he would win.
Addressing a press conference, Yadav said “It is kind of struggle and fight. We are ready to face this. I did not speak today because I am just listening everyone right now. I will hold a press conference at 12 noon on Wednesday. I will put forward my future plan in the press conference.”
On Tuesday, the ECI disposed off Sharad Yadav’s application staking claim over party symbol, saying it was not supported with relevant documents.
Earlier, the Janata Dal-United faction led by Yadav approached the EC and submitted that they were the “real” JD-U, as they enjoyed the support of most of its workers and office-bearers.
A rebellion in the JD-U erupted after Nitish Kumar recently broke ranks with the Grand Alliance and joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Kumar formed his new state government in coalition with the BJP.
