ISIS poster warns of Sri Lanka-like attacks in West Bengal and Bangladesh


The Islamic State is planning to carry out a major attacks in either Bangladesh or West Bengal. The poster which was released in Bengali on Thursday night reads “Shighroi Aschhe, Inshallah…” and features the logo of Al Mursalat.

The poster threatening attack was released by a pro-Islamic State Telegram channel. Islamic State has a strong presence in Bangladesh and has the support of a local terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (New-JMB).

Recruiters affiliated to the JMB have recruited and established hideouts in Kolkata, parts of West Bengal and neighbouring states.

A local pro-ISIS group, National Towheed Jamaat (NTJ) executed Sri Lanka’s Easter blasts.
