Mumbai, June4 : ISIS graffiti and pro-Hafiz Saeed messages were seen on pillars of a bridge in Navi Mumbai’s Uran area of Raigad district.
HIGH alert has been sounded and subsequently Maharashtra unit of the anti-terrorism squad and Navi Mumbai police have launched a joint probe.
Navi Mumbai police commissioner Sanjay Kumar said the messages praising ISIS and its leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi as “mischief by local drunkards visiting the spot.”
The messages praise soldiers fighting for the Islamic State and also mentions the name of its chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi along with some other suspected terrorist name. Pro messages of terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba founder and the chief of Jama’at-ud-Da’wah Hafiz Saeed were also seen.
