ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi poisoned by assassin in Iraq


Iraq, Oct 4, 2016: The elusive leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and three of his close aides were reportedly seriously ill after being poisoned during a lunchtime feast by an assassin.

According to media reports, meals prepared for Baghdadi and three other ISIS leaders were allegedly poisoned in Nineveh’s Be’aaj district in Iraq.

Citing a source, Iraqi news agency said the four are suffering from “severe poisoning” and reportedly been rushed for treatment at a secret location.

After the incident, IS militants were conducting several arrests in order to determine who was behind it.
