Udaipur, April 5: Actor Irrfan Khan, who had taken a break after his neuroendocrine
tumour diagnosis last year, is back on sets. He started shooting for the sequel to Hindi Medium, titled “Angrezi Medium” in Udaipur on Friday.
The buzz about Irrfan shooting for the film had started earlier this week when he was spotted at the Mumbai airport.
The official handle of Maddock Films, headed by producer Dinesh Vijan, announced the much-awaited comeback of the Piku actor this morning.
Along with the announcement, the makers also shared pictures straight from the film set in Udaipur.
The images feature a clapperboard in one frame and the other one has Irrfan posing with his team, which includes producer Vijan, director Homi Adajania, actor Deepak Dobriyal
In March 2018, Irrfan had announced his diagnosis and said that he was going abroad for treatment. He returned to India in February this year.
“Angrezi Medium” is a sequel to 2017 film Hindi Medium, revolved around a well-off Chandni Chowk couple in Delhi (played by Irrfan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar) who aspired to break into the elite society and give their daughter the best education possible.
