New Delhi, Oct 25: The Delhi High Court on Thursday extended the interim protection of former Union Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram till 29 November in connection with the INX media case.
On September 28, the court had granted interim protection to Chidambaram, which was extended to October 25 i.e. today.
The Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are probing how Chidambaram’s son Karti managed to get clearance from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB).
Karti was arrested on February 28 by the CBI for allegedly taking money to facilitate the FIPB clearance to INX Media in 2007 when his father was the Union Finance Minister. Later, Karti was granted bail.
